Bill, Anna, Monica, Loretta and Pam -
I was so surprised to read of Billy passing. I remember all of us when we were so young back int he 80's. Billy's true love and all this smiles he had for everyone. I am sure that he will be missed by everyone that he came in contact with. I hope God will hold all of you tight during this difficult time and give me peace.

Billy was always great to work with and I admired him in his job and will miss working with him. For his family, I am very sorry for your loss and have you in our prayers every since I heard Billy was sick. Consequently, our church family was familiar with his name and was very saddened when I told them of his passing on Sunday. My thoughts and will wishes reach out to you and we keep you in our prayers.

Posted by Pete Carwile at February 16, 2009 03:06 PMThere is a poem called “How Do You Live Your Dash?’ by Linda Ellis It states that what’s most important is not when you were born nor when you died but how you lived the dash, the time between the two dates. For that dash is more than just a line, it represents your life and how it was lived. Although Bill’s dash was shorter than most, he lived his life to the fullest not only for his family and friends but for the racing and automotive industry as well.
Each of us knew Bill at different times and in different ways during his dash. Most of us knew him as not only the Parts Manager at Heritage Chevrolet but as one of nicest men we’ve met. As a long time sales person, I’m used to not being able to get “the time of day” from those I’ve visited through the years. Yet Bill always found time in his busy day to meet with me. Not only did he take time to discuss accessories, he also took time to explain things that I didn’t know being new in the industry I had entered a short time ago. Because of knowing Bill I will be able to live my dash with more success due to the additional knowledge of the automotive industry he provided as well as experiencing first hand that taking time for those around us truly impacts others’ lives at some point-in-time. I’m thankful that I knew Bill and I pray that comfort, peace, and relief from your grief will be with you soon.
Posted by Tammy Wright at February 15, 2009 11:40 PMI would like to say that Billy from what I still remember of him he was always cool with me. He never said to much to me at times but when he did he had a kind word to say. Now remember the good times he gave us while he was here and now he is now home with Jesus. God Bless his family and friends.

Billy was held in high regard at the hockey rink he played at. I have fond memories of playing against Billy many times, he was a good person as well as a good competitor. He will be missed.

I am very sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed talking to Bill about the parts business. His advice and insight were invaluable to me. Bill was one of the nicest and most generous men I have ever know. My family will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
Posted by Tim Breeden at February 14, 2009 07:16 PMTo Sarah & your family,
Your Dad was always so nice. I wish I could think of something that would make you feel better. So instead we made a donation to your college fund. If you get a particularly hard class or an extremely heavy text book, you can call me & complain. I'll always be there to listen. :]
Billy and I have shared a lot over the past 25 years, especially during our first five years together at Heritage. I have lost a true and trusted friend.
My family and I wish to express our deepest sympathy for your loss.
Family of Billy Moats,
